Who is a 'LEAD'

A Lead within NEXUS is a coordinator-level position responsible for overseeing and facilitating the activities of a designated Chapter. Leads are appointed by the Executive Council of NASA India based on nominations from students associated with NASA India. During the application, the applicant shall be a bona fide student of a member college of NASA India pursuing second, third or fourth year studies in architecture as of the date of appointment.

Roles and Responsibilities

LEAD - ROLES & RESPONSIBILITY

  1. Event Planning and Execution:

    1. Brainstorm, plan, and execute a minimum of five events and/or programs during their six-month tenure.

    2. Events should align with the interests and hobbies represented by their respective Chapters.
       

  2. Communication and Reporting:

    1. Maintain regular communication with the Executive Council of NASA India and provide monthly reports on Chapter activities and achievements.

    2. Serve as a liaison between the Chapter and the Executive Council.
       

  3. Leadership Transition:

    1. Facilitate a smooth transition of leadership by mentoring the Co-Lead.

    2. Co-Lead to take over as Lead after a six-month period.
       

  4. Chapter Facilitation:

    1. Promote a supportive and inclusive environment within the Chapter for skill-building and hobby exploration. 

    2. Encourage active participation and collaboration among Circle members.
       

  5. Strategic Thinking:

    1. Contribute ideas and strategies for the growth and development of the Chapter.

    2. Collaborate with other Chapter Leads to share best practices.

Who is a 'CO-LEAD'

Co-Lead within NEXUS is a deputy coordinator-level position appointed by the Executive Council of NASA India. Co-Leads work alongside Leads to facilitate Chapter activities, and they automatically assume the position of Lead after a six-month period. During the application, the applicant shall be a bona fide student of a member college of NASA India pursuing second, third or fourth year studies in architecture as of the date of appointment.

Roles and Responsibilities

CO-LEAD - ROLES & RESPONSIBILITY

  1. Event Planning and Execution:

    1. Assist the Lead in brainstorming, planning, and executing events and programs during the six-month tenure.

    2. Participate actively in the coordination of Chapter activities.
      ​

  2. Leadership Transition:

    1. Serve as the understudy to the Lead, preparing to take over as Lead after the initial six-month period.

    2. Contribute to a smooth leadership transition by actively engaging with Chapter responsibilities.
      ​

  3. Communication and Reporting:

    1. Support the Lead in maintaining regular communication with the Executive Council of NASA India.

    2. Collaborate with the Lead in providing monthly reports on Chapter activities and achievements.
      ​

  4. Chapter Facilitation:

    1. Assist in fostering a supportive and inclusive environment within the Chapter for skill-building and hobby exploration.

    2. Collaborate with the Lead in encouraging active participation and collaboration among Circle members.
      ​

  5. Strategic Thinking:

    1. Collaborate with the Lead in contributing ideas and strategies for the growth and development of the Chapter.

    2. Engage with other Chapter Leads to share insights and best practices.

These formal definitions outline the core responsibilities and expectations for both Lead and Co-Lead positions within NEXUS, emphasising their roles in event planning, communication, leadership transition, Chapter facilitation, and strategic thinking.

Lead & Co-Lead Tenure

  1. The tenure for both Lead and Co-Lead positions is six months.

  2. At the end of the term, the Co-Lead automatically becomes the Lead for the subsequent term.

Terms & Conditions

GENERAL RULES

  1. Leads and Co-Leads must be nominated by the Executive Council of NASA India based on applications from students associated with NASA India.

  2. Leads and Co-Leads must commit to organising a minimum of five events during their tenure.

  3. Leads and Co-Leads must adhere to the guidelines set by NASA India and NEXUS for event planning, communication, and reporting.

  4. In case of inability to fulfil duties, Leads and Co-Leads must inform the Executive Council in advance and assist in the selection of a replacement.

  5. Incase of faulty behaviour or malpractices in command or finances at any point in time of their tenure, the Executive Council holds the right to impeach the individual. The said individual shall be impeached and cease to hold any responsibility in the Association immediately after the impeachment.
